“I love you, I’ll miss you like mad and I’m sorry for the inconvenience,” the singer wrote
Adele announced that her Las Vegas residency dates through March will be postponed and shared that she’s been recovering from a recent illness.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the artist wrote, “Sadly I have to take a beat and pause by Vegas residency. I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break.” She continued, “I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately it’s all taken a toll on my voice. And so on Doctors orders I have no choice but to rest thoroughly.”
Adele said that the five remaining weekends have been impacted including March 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30. The singer captioned the messaged: “I love you, I’ll miss you like mad and I’m sorry for the inconvenience.” She also noted that further information would be sent soon.
Adele began the previous leg of her Las Vegas residency, Weekends With Adele, on June 16, 2023 —previously scheduled to wrap up in November 2023, the final leg was set to run through June 15, 2024.
“Playing to 4,000 people for 34 nights is not enough, and I know that,” Adele told fans in Vegas during the show’s initial run last year. “So I am coming back. I’ll be back for a few weeks in June, and I’m gonna film it, and I’m gonna release it to make sure that anyone who wants to see this show can see it.
