Discover Miné: The Artist Behind "Crave" and Her Unique Sound

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Miné ‘s diverse upbringing has significantly shaped her sound, allowing her to effortlessly fuse vibrant rhythms with emotional depth. Her latest single, “Crave,” explores themes of longing for authentic connections in a superficial world.

Miné‘s musical journey began at the age of 19, during which she balanced her education with her passion for music. She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Strategy in 2023 and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Economics from Cornell in 2024.

Additionally, she holds a Master’s degree from Kaeio University in Japan. As a polyglot who speaks Japanese, Korean, and some Spanish, Miné‘s linguistic versatility has influenced her creative approach. “Crave” features a smooth R&B groove paired with a pop edge, delivering a powerful message about seeking authenticity in love. Miné’s lyrics are deeply personal, drawing from her and her friend’s experiences.

Miné explains, “‘Crave’ is a song about the desire to be craved by someone. In a world so bleak, it seems like it is getting more and more difficult to find that person who would want you for anything other than the instant, superficial gratification you can give them.”

Following the success of “Crave,” Miné is working on a new song entirely in Japanese, combining Afrobeat and pop flair. This project expands her artistic boundaries and continues her rise in the music industry.
