NYHC torch-carriers Combust have announced their sophomore album and first for Triple B, Belly of the Beast, due March 7 (pre-order). The album was recorded with Zach Miller at NJ’s Landmine Studios, and it features a number of cool guests, including Crown of Thornz’s Danny Diablo (on a song called “N.Y.H.C.”), Mindforce, Terror, Imposter’s Rory O’Neill, Dmize’s Chiqui Rodriguez, and rapper Rome Streetz. The first single is “Our Own Breed” with Rory O’Neill, and here’s what vocalist Andrew Vacante says about it:

Older people who were never a part of this culture or scene try to come in and complain or use it to their benefit just for profit or a resurgence in their washed up pathetic past. Weird social media figures try to backpack off our shit just so they can boost their views and they hop in and hop out and use bands for numbers and clicks. This song is for the ones who reject them.

Combust are gearing up for a hometown hardcore/hip hop crossover show on Saturday (1/18) at Meadows with the aforementioned Mindforce, rapcore torch-carriers Gridiron, and rapper Meyhem Lauren. They also play Tied Down, United Blood, and LDB Fest. All upcoming Combust dates are listed below.
