Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre set release date for first collab album in 31 years, share first single

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre have teamed up for an entire new album together for the first time since Snoop’s iconic 1993 debut album Doggystyle, and it’ll be out December 13 via Death Row, Aftermath, and Interscope (pre-order). Playing off the title of their last album-length collaboration, it’s called Missionary, and its first single “Gorgeous” is out today. It sounds like an intentional return to the G-Funk vibes that Dre and Snoop helped invent together three decades ago, and it features an airy hook by Jhené Aiko, plus co-production from Blu2th, Preach Bal4, and FredWreck. Listen and watch the video below.

Dre also makes three appearances on the album as a vocalist, and other guests include Eminem, 50 Cent, Method Man, BJ the Chicago Kid, and more, plus the late Tom Petty (on a song called “Last Dance With Mary Jane” that I would imagine samples or interpolates Petty’s “Mary Jane’s Last Dance” and that also features country star Jelly Roll) and fellow classic rocker Sting. You can see the full tracklist and the condom-themed album artwork below.
