Tyler, the Creator announces ‘Chromakopia,’ shares video with new music

Art-rap auteur Tyler, the Creator has been gradually making his return with verses on recent Maxo Kream and Pharrell songs, and now he seems to be gearing up for his own new album, his first since 2021’s excellent Call Me If You Get Lost. He’s got something on the way called Chromakopia, and he announced it in a new video called “St. Chroma,” which doesn’t seem to be a full new song but it’s a very cinematic video that includes 84 seconds of new music. The whole thing seems maximalist, genre-defying, and very exciting. Check it out below.

Tyler is gearing up to throw the 10th edition of his Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival this November at Dodger Stadium. The lineup is still TBA, and tickets are already sold out.

Tyler’s also reportedly making his feature film debut in Josh Safdie’s new A24 movie Marty Supreme, alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and Timothée Chalamet.
