Donald Trump confuses reggaeton singer Nicky Jam for a woman at Las Vegas rally
Donald Trump was seen confusing reggaeton artist Nicky Jam for a woman at a Las Vegas rally before Jam’s endorsement speech for the presidential candidate.
Yesterday (September 13), the 43-year-old singer made an appearance at the rally to support Trump ahead of the US elections in November.
Introducing Jam to the stage, Trump was captured telling the crowd: “Latin music superstar Nicky Jam. Do you know Nicky? She’s hot. Where is Nicky?”
Jam came to the stage to Trump’s surprise, and the 78-year-old quickly changed tune – “Oh look, come here!”, he says to Jam before turning to the audience and saying “I’m glad he came up.”
“It’s an honor to meet you, Mr. President. People that come from where I come from, they don’t meet the president. So I’m lucky,” said Jam. “We need you. We need you back, right? We need you to be the president.” Watch footage of the moment below.

Jam took the faux pas in jest, sharing a picture of the two on his Instagram page, writing in Spanish “Nicky jam la potra la bichota” (“Nicky Jam is a fierce woman”) with multiple cry-laugh emojis.

Recently, Trump’s campaign team released a t-shirt designed very similarly to Taylor Swift‘s ‘Eras’ tour merch.
It features a grid of photos of the former president coloured like the infamous ‘Eras Tour’ shirt and retails for $36 (£27).
Any ambiguity about the inspiration behind the design was removed when a tweet from the former president’s headquarters called on “all Swifties for Trump” to get their “Trump Era shirt today”.
The Republican candidate’s team announced the shirt, which reads “DONALD J. TRUMP MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN” only days after the ‘Karma’ singer endorsed Kamala Harris in this year’s presidential race.
Trump commented on Swift’s endorsement of Harris, telling Fox & Friends: “I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” he began. “It was just a question of time. She couldn’t possibly endorse Biden… But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat, and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”
