Insane Clown Posse‘s annual festival, Gathering of the Juggalos, returned for its 24th annual edition over the weekend, bringing clown face paint, Faygo, and lots debauchery over four days at Thornville, OH’s Legend Valley. This year’s theme was horror, with ICP playing two sets, dubbed House of Horrors and The Red Show, and the weekend also included wrestling, the Miss Juggalette Pageant, a “Freakshow Deluxe” horror show, the “Queen of [butt] Cheeks” contest, a Faygo launching contest, a wet t-shirt contest, the wedding of two juggalettes, “The Clownvis Post Apocalyptic Nuclear Meltdown Zombie Party,” and more. In a thank you message following the festival on social media, ICP wrote, “ON BEHALF OF THE GATHERING & PSYCHOPATHIC…ONE LOVE TO OUR FAMILY!!! There’s a contented stillness in the air as the sun rises over Legend Valley. A leveling of karmic waters, as the collective Juggalo energy moves from chaotic and euphoric into a peaceful, zen-like state. All around us our Dark Carnival brothers and sisters pack, prepare and embark on a migration back to their abodes. All while saying a temporary goodbye to the place they also know as Home. Juggalos understood the vibe and the meaning of Something Wicked This Way Comes perfectly because y’all absolutely KILLED IT! THANK YOU to every Juggalo in attendance! Y’all are what give The Gathering its magic to this day, make no mistake! Additional love goes out to all the performers, volunteers, vendors, creative hard workers and hard-working creatives whose elements of flavor all combined to make The Gathering of the Juggalos a karmic juggernaut! ICP talked about the 25th anniversary edition of The Gathering at their Mystery Seminar at this year’s festival, saying that it’ll be called the Gathering of Legends and feature performers from previous editions. They also said that their farewell tour was still to come, and to expect more information on that soon. Stay tuned.
