Bicep share new single ‘CHROMA 004 ROLA’ from ‘CHROMA’ project

Bicep have shared their latest single from the ongoing CHROMA project, ‘CHROMA 004 ROLA’.

The Belfast electronic duo, made up of Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar, launched their new CHROMA project earlier this year. It’s set to combine a series of curated events, a record label, an ever-evolving Bicep AV/DJ show – all with a unique new visual identity created alongside David Rudnick.

The most recent offering is tinged with a distinct UK flavour, written with pulsating dancefloors in mind. ‘ROLA’ served as a mission statement when the pair opened London’s Drumsheds venue with it at the 2023 CHROMA takeover in 2023.

On the track, Bicep said: “We wanted something dark and heavy to play as our first tune, as a stark departure from the Live show. It’s exactly what we’re wanting to achieve with CHROMA, a track written for the dancefloor with a specific idea in mind.”

They continued: “It’s a chance for us to stretch our legs outside a traditional album cycle and focus purely on music for us DJing,” they said in a press release. “It feels really refreshing for us to write music and play it out that same week. It’s been really fun for us to let people hear a bit of a tougher sound from us.”

The track recently debuted at Coachella, with fans clambering to hear the full cut. The release of the latest single comes as Bicep prepare for a double-slot at this years Glastonbury.
