About a year after Post Malone was seen hanging out with Militarie Gun and rocking out to “Do It Faster,” and four months after it was revealed that that same song appeared on the Post Malone-curated WWE 2K24 video game soundtrack, it’s also been revealed that Militarie Gun were tapped to write the entrance music for Posty’s wrestling character in the game (yes, you can play as Post Malone). MG’s entrance theme for Posty is called “Gun Under The Gun (MFG),” and you can hear it and watch the animated Post Malone enter the ring to it below.

The soundtrack also includes two other hardcore songs (Turnstile’s “Mystery” and Speed’s “Not That Nice”), two of Post Malone’s own songs (“Chemical” and “Laugh It Off”), and songs by hyperpop duo 100 gecs, country singers Colter Wall and Tyler Childers, rage-rapper Yeat, doom metal band Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, Busta Rhymes, and Grimes. MG leader Ian Shelton told New Noise that Post Malone wanted a song similar to Motorhead’s wrestling intro, and said, “I focused on finding iconic elements and figuring out how to make it my own. A wrestling intro needs to start big and iconic, get more aggressive, and then go heavier. That’s how the song ended up—starting big and spacey, then more aggressive, and finally half-time for a total beatdown.”

“We’re really grateful for Post’s continued support,” Ian added. “The fact that he actively helps make the band bigger is really cool. We’re stoked to be here and to do something psychotic together.”

Post Malone recently announced a country music tour that has him in the NYC-area for a show on September 29 at Jones Beach, one day after he headlines the Global Citizen Festival (9/28) in Central Park.

Militarie Gun also have a bunch of upcoming tour dates, including opening Manchester Orchestra‘s Cope 10th anniversary tour, which hits NJ’s Starland Ballroom on September 8 and NYC’s Brooklyn Paramount on September 13. All of their dates are listed below.
