Tyler the Creator cancels Lollapalooza & Outside Land sets, replacements announced

Tyler the Creator had some festival headlining sets lined up for this year, but he’s now cancelled two of them: Lollapalooza in Chicago, and Outside Lands in San Francisco. “i hate saying this but i have to cancel lollapalooza and outside lands,” he wrote on social media. “i made a commitment that i can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were. that is not sexy at all. please please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. love.”

Tyler is still on the lineup for both weekends of ACL Fest, where he’ll perform on Sunday, October 6 and Sunday, October 13. He also came out during Mustard‘s set at Kendrick Lamar’s Juneteenth show at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum last night.

Replacing Tyler at Lollapalooza is Megan Thee Stallion, who will perform on Thursday, August 1. Also on the lineup are Fleshwater, Blondshell, d4vd, Kesha, JUNGLE, The Japanese House, Chappell Roan, FLO, and more.

At Outside Lands, Sabrina Carpenter will replace Tyler, performing on Saturday, August 10. That day also features The Postal Service, Grace Jones, ScHoolboy Q, Channel Tres, Men I Trust, Amyl and the Sniffers, The Blessed Madonna, Romy, STRFKR, Sofia Kourtesis, AG Club, and more.
