These six games are now free to download on Steam

As if your gaming backlog wasn’t big enough, Steam has several free games you can download right now and add to your ever-growing collection.

As spotted by GamingBible, there are six interesting games that you can download for free right now. The first is Thunder Age. This is a tower defence game set in a flooded post-apocalyptic world. The game has a hexagonal grid, and you can raise and lower pieces to control the enemy path. Wandering globs of electricity are both friend and foe, so plan carefully.

Next up is Above, a beautifully rendered game where you play as a goat person trying to climb to the top of a large tower. It looks more like a mountain than a tower, with floating rocks, pools of water, decaying skeletal remains, and more to see on your way up.

If you like Plants vs. Zombies, then Little Keepers is the game for you. This is a local co-op tower defense game where you have to gather resources to protect your garden from mutant plants.

Wind Rider is reminiscent of the endless running games of the early smartphone days. In it, you control a being that can glide effortlessly through the air. It claims to be relaxing, but you’ll need to dodge lasers, rocks, and fly through rings.

MechaLeague is a robotic racing game that has both a VR and standard mode, meaning you can play it from a few different perspectives. It’s got grapple hooks, air brakes, everything you need to speed around the arenas.

Finally, there’s Off Air, another robot game, but this time an FPS. Are you trapped in a game show or is it real life? Who know? Just shoot the things shooting at you to stay alive.

In other news, Valve is being sued for £656 million for Steam market rigging accusations.
