Kep1er tease new album ‘Kep1going On’, likely to be their final release
Kep1er have announced ‘Kep1going On’, which looks likely to be their final album before reportedly disbanding in July.
At midnight KST today (May 13), Kep1er’s label WAKEONE announced the girl group’s new album, including its release date, format and title. Called ‘Kep1going On’, the record will be the girl group’s first studio album, set for release on June 3 at 6pm KST.
Alongside the announcement, Kep1er also released an animated teaser for the album, which depicts an animated logo motion of the album’s title. It will notably drop about a month prior to their purported disbandment, following a two-year contract after the group debuted in January 2022.

Last month, WAKEONE also press that it was “in positive discussions with each member’s agency to extend the group contract”. WAKEONE provided another update saying discussions were still underway in late April, however, no further updates have been provided since.
Back in February, Kep1er announced the ‘2024 Kep1ine’, which detailed plans for the group to release two new albums for the coming year – one in Japanese and the other in Korean – which would mark their final releases as a full unit before they are due to disband if a contract extension is not finalised.
The K-pop girl group’s contracts as a temporary project are due to officially expire this year on July 3. This was a condition set by the survival show that formed Kep1er, Girls Planet 999, which stipulated that the winning line-up would embark on a two-and-a-half-year contract when the show concluded in October 2021. The group made their official debut in January 2022.
