After being forced to postpone them from the spring, Denzel Curry brought his four special live band shows to NYC’s Blue Note Jazz Club on Tuesday and Wednesday (9/12 and 9/13) with early and late shows each night. We went to the late show on Wednesday, where in addition to his Cold Blooded Soul band, Denzel brought out redveil and Armani White. See pictures by P Squared below.

Denzel said he was inspired to do these shows by Robert Glasper’s annual guest-filled residency, and wanting a change from his usual high octane live sets. He stayed seated for much of the night, engaging people in the crowd and telling lots of jokes, but towards the end of the night he was up and spitting bars as usual on “GOATED.” (which he did with Armani White), “Ultimate,” and “CLOUT COBAIN | CLOUT CO13A1N.” See his setlist below.
