MACHINE GIRL

Machine Girl will be spending Halloween in NYC with a special show at Webster Hall. It’s currently their only show.

NICK HAKIM

Nick Hakim will be camping out in NYC for much of November, having announced a residency at Blue Note on November 14 & 15 and 28 & 29, with 8:30 PM and 10 PM shows each night. Nick is also currently on tour with Big Thief and plays Kingston, NY on Wednesday (7/19). He’ll also support Weyes Blood in August. All dates are here.

THE MENZINGERS

The Menzingers have announced a tour with the all-around awesome support lineup of Microwave, Cloud Nothings, and Rodeo Boys. It’s a 29-date trek across the US and Canada that goes down in November and December.

CITIZEN

In support of their upcoming album Calling the Dogs, Citizen will be on a lengthy North American tour this fall with Narrow Head and Modern Color, with a Europe/UK following tour in 2024.

SCREAM / SOULSIDE

DC punk icons and Dischord labelmates Scream and Soulside have announced have announced a fall tour, with West Coast shows happening in late October and early November, and East Coast shows in early December.

X

X had to reschedule part of their US tour, and have now announced new dates. Those will happen in late summer, including shows with Squirrel Nut Zippers. They’ve also got dates with The English Beat.

DANIEL AVERY

Shoegaze-friendly electronic producer Daniel Avery has announced a few West Coast shows ahead of his appearance at San Francisco’s Outside Lands festival, playing Portland and Los Angeles. His only other US date is Miami’s III Points fest in October. All dates are here.

ANGEL DU$T

Angel Du$t have announced a new album, Brand New Soul, due September 8 via Pop Wig, as well as a lengthy North American tour, including shows with Candy, Restraining Order, Bib, Dazy, Loosey, Mary Jane Dunphe, Steve Marino, TV Star, Object of Affection, Missing Link, and 9 Million, varying by date.

RHYS DARBY

New Zealand comedian and actor Rhys Darby will be on tour this fall and has added a second night at Brooklyn’s Bell House on August 24. (His 8/25 show is sold out.) He’s also got dates in Philly, L.A. and more.

THE WALKMEN

The Walkmen have added more fall dates to their 2023 reunion tour, including Dallas, Boston, and two NYC-area shows

NEIL YOUNG

Neil Young is in the midst of his Coastal Tour, his first outing in four years, which has him playing West Coast solo shows through the end of July. He’s now announced a new, very intimate Los Angeles show happening this fall, on September 20 at The Roxy. That’s 50 years to the day after he headlined the venue’s opening night in 1973, and the first show to be announced of its 50th anniversary celebration.

BOBBY WEIR & WOLF BROS

Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros (featuring Don Was, Jay Lane and Jeff Chimenti) are touring this year, including as part of Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival. They’ve just added a few headline dates in Philly, Columbus, Charlottesville, Burlington, Baltimore and more.

BETH ORTON

Beth Orton has announced a US tour happening in September with Pneumatic Tubes and Ben Sloan opening, depending on the date. The tour begins in Fairfield, CT on 9/7 and wraps up with two nights at L.A.’s Masonic Lodge.

KOTA THE FRIEND

Brooklyn-based rapper Kota The Friend has announced his first headlining North American tour, the “Flowers For My Friends” tour. The trip follows the release of his Protea LP in June via FLTBYS/Venice Music, and kicks off in the fall, with stops in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Phoenix, LA, Seattle, Minneapolis, Toronto, and more.

THE PRIZE FIGHTER INFERNO

Coheed & Cambria multitalent Claudio Sanchez revived his solo folktronica project The Prize Fighter Inferno with The City Introvert LP in 2021, and now he’s announced his first tour with the project.

LATHE OF HEAVEN

Brooklyn band Lathe of Heaven have a sound steeped in echo-y early-’80s post punk (The Chameleons, Killing Joke) and have just signed to Sacred Bones, who will release the band’s debut album, Bound by Naked Skies, on September 1. They’ll also be on tour this summer and fall.

A GREAT BIG PILE OF LEAVES

A Great Big Pile of Leaves returned after 8 years with new album ‘Pono’ in 2021, and now they’ve announced a homecoming comeback show.

UNION POOL SUMMER THUNDER

Union Pool has announced the rest of the 2023 lineup for its free Summer Thunder series, which happens Sunday afternoons through Labor Day Weekend. It includes Sun Ra Arkestra, Cass McCombs, Fenne Lily and more.

SQUIRREL FLOWER

Squirrel Flower, the project of Chicago-based musician Ella Williams, has announced a new LP, Tomorrow’s Fire, due October 13 via Polyvinyl. In addition to the album, Squirrel Flower has announced a sprawling international tour with North American legs in the fall and early 2024, and a UK/EU leg in between. Prior to that trip, she’ll be opening for Hurray For The Riff Raff, and she’ll be joined on the road by Truth Club, Merce Lemon, Knifeplay, Goon, Cryogeyser, and Alexalone on various dates.
