Coweta County, GA – Boosie Badazz has put some legal woes in Georgia behind him by agreeing to a plea deal that requires no jail time.
According to TMZ, the opinionated rapper pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession marijuana in exchange for having two other charges — possession a controlled substance and failure to maintain lane — dropped.
The Coweta County District Attorney’s Office previously charged Boosie with two felonies stemming from his arrest in April 2019.
Authorities discovered a loaded 9mm handgun, marijuana and over $20,000 in his vehicle after stopping him for swerving in between driving lanes. Boosie was never booked on a firearms charge and was released after posting a $3500 bond.
Boosie was facing up to a year behind bars but avoided incarceration thanks to his deal with the Coweta County D.A. Instead, he was sentenced to six months probation and ordered to pay a $1000 fine.
With the Georgia case in the rearview mirror, Boosie can turn his attention to his third annual Boosie Bash in his hometown Baton Rouge. The upcoming event, which will feature performances by artists such as DaBaby and Juvenile, is scheduled to take place on March 14.
