Meek Mill is trying to play peacemaker before Pop Smoke’s beef with Casanova turns into something bigger.
Issues between the two emerged publicly when Pop threw a shot at his fellow Brooklyn native and Smoove L while previewing a new track on Instagram. The song itself appears to reference Casanova and Smoove’s “Demons & Devils” collaboration.
“YALL OLD NIGGAS BETTER PACK IT UP,” Pop wrote. “THIS AINT NO TRASHANOVA SHIT NO SCARY L SHIT YALL KNOW THE WOOS RUN THE CITY YALL NIGGAS COULD NEVER BE ME #straightshit #Wooshit #doublegshit #Ripclovergz #ripshyste #ripyola #riprohan #ripdonald.”
Meek reacted to the emerging tension by attempting to calm it down. The Dream Chasers leader also advised people not involved in the beef to avoid making the situation worse.
“Y’all Brooklyn niggas be beefing wit each other too much lol,” he wrote. “Stop pumping that shit too if you not involved ….. let them guys get they money and if you ficial and you around say something!”

After pleading his case, Meek conceded he wasn’t the perfect messenger for peace. The Philly-bred rapper recalled his own history beef and ultimately decided he should stay out Pop’s issues with Casanova.
“Who am I to talk right I beefed with every rapper in my city b4 except a few lol,” he noted.
Meek added, “Facts tho let me mind mines … I’m from Philly … I try to be be meek Luther king some days.”
