We’re used to seeing 6ix9ine surrounded by gang members in his music videos. You’ll recall his break-out single “GUMMO,” which saw him in the streets of Brooklyn with dozens of Nine Trey Bloods by his side. Considering all that has gone down in the last two years, it makes total sense that he would be all alone in his return video. According to TMZ, the rapper is citing his fears of contracting COVID-19 as the reason why he will be solo in the upcoming flick.
According to the publication, the rainbow-haired artist has his security guards pulling double duties, helping him behind the camera as he self-directs the new video. Before he hit the big leagues as a rapper, 6ix9ine was a videographer so that shouldn’t be too surprising.
Surprisingly enough, the outlet also notes that he may be working with another rap star for one of his new songs. With 6ix9ine’s reputation in the dumps, it’s safe to say we’re all pretty curious to see who dares work with him first.
What are you expecting from his return?
