10 New Metal & Hardcore Songs Out This Week
It was a shorter week in the US with July 4 but we still got plenty of great new heavy music, like the killer new Blackbraid album. We also got new singles from Cryptopsy, Ringworm, Outer Heaven, Witness Chamber, Creak, and more. Read on for those and other metal & hardcore tracks we posted this week…
CRYPTOPSY – “IN ABEYANCE”
Montreal tech-death legends Cryptopsy have announced their first album in 11 years, As Gomorrah Burns, due September 8 via Nuclear Blast, and they sound as punishing as ever on new single “In Abeyance.”

RINGWORM – “THOUGHT CRIMES”
Fresh off announcing a tour supporting Venom Inc and Satan, metallic hardcore pioneers Ringworm have shared another stormer from their upcoming LP Seeing Through Fire.

OUTER HEAVEN – “PILLARS OF DUST”
Pennsylvania death metallers Outer Heaven have shared another brutally awesome taste of their anticipated sophomore album Infinite Psychic Depths.

WITNESS CHAMBER – “OF THE WORLD”
Boise metallic hardcoer band Witness Chamber will follow 2021’s Paradise Awaits EP with new EP True Delusion on August 18 via DAZE, and its first single is the blazing, thrashy “Of the World.”

CREAK – “A HEAD FULL OF RAIN”
UK metalcore/mathcore band Creak have shared another chaotic taste of their upcoming debut LP for Prosthetic.

UNITYTX – “ROC SH!T”
UnityTX have announced a new album, Ferality, due September 8 via Pure Noise. Along with the announcement comes new rap-metal rager “ROC SH!T.”

XORSIST – “BLESSED BY THE DIVINE”
Stockholm extreme metallers Xorsist will release their sophomore album At the Somber Steps to Serenity on October 6 via Prosthetic, and here’s the raw, evil lead single.

UNDERDARK – “UNFINISHED SYMPATHY” (MASSIVE ATTACK COVER)
Nottingham black metallers Underdark have signed to Church Road for their upcoming sophomore album, Managed Decline. Their first single for the new label isn’t a song from that album though; it’s a cover of Massive Attack’s “Unfinished Sympathy,” and it’s a very far cry from the original.

Brampton, Ontario’s Mile End make tough, chunky, metallic hardcore, as you can hear on their new promo for New Morality Zine.

GODSEYES – “MEMORIES IN BLUE”
Long Island metallic hardcore band Godseyes are releasing their new album Progress//Regress on September 8 via No Sleep, and it’s being prefaced by the heavy, impassioned new single “Memories In Blue.”
