Toro y Moi Delivers VHS-Inspired Video for 'No Show'

Toro y Moi (aka Chaz Bear) is back with a new video for “No Show.” The VHS-styled visual combines elements from his previous clips “Girl Like You” and “You and I.”

In the video, Toro y Moi is singing about heartbreak intermixed with lo-fi images as if the clip was shot on a camcorder. The video ends with “Be,” a hidden track from his latest project Boo Boo.

For the album, the singer took influence from artists such as Travis Scott, Daft Punk and Frank Ocean.

“I recognized that the common thread between these artists was their attention to a feeling space, or lack there,” he said. “I decided that I wanted to make a Pop record with these ideas in mind. That idea for a record is what eventually became Boo Boo."

Boo Boo is Moi's first studio album since 2015's What For? and Samantha, although he did drop a project called Plum under the name New Globe.
