André 3000 is flexing his acting skills again, this time by starring in High Life, a new sci-fi film helmed by Claire Denis and also starring Robert Pattinson (Twilight).
The movie surrounds a group prisoners who are fered a chance to reduce their sentence by embarking on a dangerous trip to a black hole to find an energy source, according to Variety. The film will be Denis’ English-speaking debut and will be 3000’s first feature film since starring in the Jimi Hendrix biopic, Jimi: All Is by My Side. In 2016, he had an acclaimed run on season 2 ABC’s now canceled critical darling, American Crime.
Beyond his new film endeavor, the veteran rhymer-turned-actor has had a busy 12 months, dropping f fire verses for everyone from Travis Scott and Kid Cudi to Divine Council and also serving as creative director and artist series headliner for Tretorn.
High Life still doesn’t have a release date as yet.
